Managed L2+ Gigabit PoE Switch HP Aruba Instant On 1930 — 24x Gigabit RJ-45, 10G support, 1U
The HP Aruba Instant On 1930 — 24x Gigabit RJ-45, 10G support, 1U is a managed L2+ rackmount switch designed for office networks, access-layer deployments and small data centers. This 24-port Gigabit Ethernet (10/100/1000) switch provides PoE/PoE+ capability, four SFP/SFP+ uplink slots with 10G support, a 128 Gbit/s switching capacity and a 16,000-entry MAC table for stable traffic handling. It supports industry-standard layer 2 and basic layer 3 features such as VLAN, QoS, STP, LACP and 802.1X for access control, and can be managed locally via web GUI or remotely using the Instant On cloud and mobile app integration.
The Aruba Instant On 1930 series combines managed L2+ functionality with plug-and-play deployment options and centralized cloud management. Built-in PoE/PoE+ simplifies powering of IP phones, wireless access points and surveillance cameras without separate power cabling. Four SFP/SFP+ uplink ports with 1G/10G support provide flexible fiber or high-speed aggregation links. Broad IEEE standard support and network security features, including 802.1X and VLAN segmentation, deliver interoperable performance and basic protection against unauthorized access.
Install the switch in a standard 1U rack or on a stable surface and connect power. Use the Instant On mobile app or web portal for cloud-based setup and monitoring, or access the local web GUI for on-site configuration. Connect client devices to the Gigabit RJ-45 ports and, if required, install SFP/SFP+ modules in the uplink slots for fiber or 10G aggregation. Configure VLANs, QoS policies and port-based PoE settings according to your network design, and enable 802.1X or other authentication methods to control access.
When deploying the switch, verify PoE budget requirements for connected devices and plan uplink bandwidth to prevent congestion. Use VLANs to separate traffic types (voice, data, surveillance) and enable QoS for latency-sensitive applications. Keep firmware up to date via the Instant On cloud or local GUI to maintain security and feature updates.
