Managed Switch Aruba Instant On 1930 48G PoE 370W 4SFP 1U
The Aruba Instant On 1930 48G PoE 370W 4SFP 1U is a managed Gigabit Ethernet switch designed for small and growing businesses that need reliable performance and flexible Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) delivery. This 48-port model provides Gigabit RJ-45 connectivity across all ports, up to 370W total PoE budget for powering IP phones, wireless access points and cameras, and four SFP/SFP+ slots for fiber or uplink connections. The switch supports layer 2+ features, multiple management options including cloud-based Instant On management and a local web GUI, and a compact 1U rackable form factor in white.
The switch combines a full set of managed switching functions—VLANs, link aggregation, Spanning Tree variants and IEEE 802.1X—with Class 4 PoE (PoE+) capability and 10G-capable SFP+ uplinks on the 48-port model. Energy Efficient Ethernet and built-in security mechanisms such as access control, DoS protection and management privilege levels reduce operational risks and power consumption. Simple out-of-the-box deployment and compatibility with the Instant On mobile app and web portal make provisioning and remote monitoring straightforward.
Install the switch in a standard 19-inch rack or place it on a stable surface. Connect network devices to the Gigabit RJ-45 ports and insert SFP/SFP+ transceivers for fiber uplinks where required. Power the switch and, if using PoE devices, ensure the total PoE consumption does not exceed the 370 W budget by planning port power allocation. For management, choose Instant On cloud management using the mobile app or web portal for remote monitoring and configuration, or access the local web GUI for on-site configuration and firmware updates.
Plan PoE device distribution to avoid exceeding the 370 W budget; allocate high-power devices across different ports or use scheduling where supported. Use SFP+ modules for uplinks when connecting to core switches or servers requiring 10G throughput, and enable appropriate VLANs and 802.1X policies to isolate traffic and improve network security.
