Managed Switch Aruba Instant On 1830 24G 2SFP
The Managed Switch Aruba Instant On 1830 24G 2SFP is a smart-managed Layer 2 Gigabit Ethernet switch with 24 RJ-45 ports and two dedicated 1G SFP fiber ports. Designed for small and medium-sized networks, it delivers a switching capacity of 52 Gbit/s, a MAC address table of 16,000 entries, and support for common IEEE networking standards. Rack-mountable in a 1U form factor, this switch provides reliable wired connectivity for IT, cloud and mobile applications with flexible management options and energy-saving features.
This Aruba Instant On 1830 model combines Gigabit connectivity, dual SFP uplinks and industry-standard Layer 2 features in a compact, managed switch. It supports cloud and local web management modes for simple deployment and monitoring, offers PoE options on other models for powering edge devices, and includes security features such as IEEE 802.1X, VLANs and storm control. Energy-efficient technologies including 802.3az support and variable-speed cooling reduce power use and noise in typical office environments.
Install the switch in a standard 1U rack or place it on a flat surface. Connect uplink fiber or copper links to the SFP and RJ-45 ports respectively, and attach end devices to the Gigabit RJ-45 ports. Choose the preferred management mode: register and manage via the Instant On cloud/mobile app or use the local web GUI for on-premises configuration. Configure VLANs, QoS and security options such as 802.1X and storm control according to your network design. If using PoE models in the same product family, allocate power budgets for powered devices through the management interface.
Place the switch in a ventilated rack space and keep firmware up to date. For best performance, use the SFP ports for uplinks to core switches or aggregation points and enable energy-efficient Ethernet features where low-traffic savings are desired.
