The transceiver supports a 10 Gbit/s data rate and single‑mode transmission at 1310 nm, offering low‑loss optical connectivity over distances up to 10 km. Its compact SFP+ form factor with LC connector simplifies integration into standard 10G network interfaces and reduces cabling complexity for uplink and aggregation links.
This module is intended for single‑mode fiber and will not work on multimode fiber without mode conversion. It is designed for 1310 nm operation; networks requiring different wavelengths (for example 850 nm or DWDM/CWDM channels) need other transceivers. Also, links beyond 10 km require transceivers rated for longer reach.
Insert the SFP+ transceiver into an empty SFP+ port on a compatible switch, router or media converter until it clicks into place.
