Manual bleed valve Hydroland ODP_KOR 1/2" is a compact key-operated radiator air vent designed to release trapped air from domestic heating systems. The valve connects to standard 1/2" fittings and provides a controlled, non-slip mechanism for venting radiators, convectors and sections of central heating loops during routine maintenance. Its metal construction ensures mechanical stability and reliable performance in residential heating circuits.
The key-operated design enables precise control of air release without using improvised tools, reducing the risk of damage and leaks. Compact metal body offers durability and stable mounting on radiator ports. Compatible with standard 1/2" connections, it integrates easily into existing heating systems and allows quick access for periodic bleeding of radiators and convectors.
Shut off the radiator valve and allow the system to cool if required by the installation. Insert the key into the vent head and turn slowly to open the valve until air begins to escape; once water appears, close the valve by turning the key back to the closed position. Check for leaks around the connection and, if necessary, tighten the valve slightly. Repeat the procedure for other radiators or convectors until the system is free of trapped air.
Perform bleeding when the heating system is cold or at low pressure to reduce the risk of scalding. Use the dedicated key to avoid damaging the actuator; avoid over-tightening after bleeding to prevent thread or valve seat damage. After venting multiple radiators, verify system pressure and top up coolant following manufacturer instructions if pressure has dropped.
