Thermostatic Radiator Head IMI Heimeier DWZ (MPN 7400-00.500)
Thermostatic Radiator Head IMI Heimeier DWZ is a manual temperature control head for radiators and convectors designed to regulate indoor comfort by varying the flow through a compatible radiator valve. The unit provides precise setpoint control with a simple rotating knob and a clear temperature scale, making it suitable for residential and light commercial heating systems where an IMI Heimeier-compatible valve body is installed.
The IMI Heimeier DWZ head offers straightforward mechanical operation without the need for external power or wiring, enabling reliable temperature control even during power outages. Its compact form factor and standard mounting interface allow for quick replacement or upgrade of existing radiator valves. The clear marking on the control knob supports repeatable setpoint selection while the internal mechanism provides stable modulation of flow according to the chosen setting.
This thermostatic head is intended to work with compatible valve bodies; it will not function if the radiator valve type or mounting interface is incompatible. It is a manual, mechanical device and does not provide programmable schedules, remote control, or smart-home integration.
Mount the thermostatic head onto a compatible valve body according to the valve manufacturer’s instructions and secure it using the head’s locking mechanism. Rotate the control knob to the desired temperature position indicated on the scale; the internal sensor and valve spindle will adjust flow to maintain the selected setpoint. For maintenance, follow standard radiator system procedures: isolate and drain the circuit if valve replacement is required. Regularly check for free movement of the head and ensure the sensor area is not obstructed by curtains or furniture for accurate control.
Position furniture and curtains to avoid covering the thermostatic head sensor area, set comfortable mid-range values for everyday use and lower setpoints during unoccupied periods to save energy. For system-wide temperature balance, adjust heads gradually and allow time for the system to stabilise after each change.
