Adapter cable for connecting FireWire IEEE1394a (FireWire 400) devices with a 6-pin connector to a FireWire controller using an IEEE1394b (FireWire 800) 9-pin connector. The InLine FireWire 400 to 800 1394b Cable (6/9 pin male) is 2 m long and has a black jacket. Because FireWire 800 controllers are backward compatible with FireWire 400 devices, this cable enables direct connectivity between older 400 Mbit/s devices and 800 Mbit/s ports.
The cable provides compatibility between IEEE1394a and IEEE1394b interfaces without requiring adapters or active converters. Its 2 m length offers flexible device placement, and the male 6-pin to male 9-pin configuration ensures direct plug-and-play connection to standard FireWire 400 devices and FireWire 800 ports.
