InLine Patch Cable SF/UTP Cat.5e grey 25m
The InLine Patch Cable SF/UTP Cat.5e grey 25m is a 25-metre Cat5e twisted-pair network cable with SF/UTP (S-FTP) shielding. It is designed for connecting devices with RJ45 ports such as switches, routers, wall sockets, patch panels and network cards. The cable supports Gigabit Ethernet (1 Gb/s) and operates up to a maximum frequency of 125 MHz. The grey jacket offers a neutral appearance suitable for office or home installations.
SF/UTP shielding combines an overall foil with individually braided/shielded pairs to reduce electromagnetic interference and crosstalk, improving signal integrity in environments with possible external noise sources. A 25 m length provides flexibility for connecting distant devices without additional joins, and Cat5e specification ensures compatibility with Gigabit network equipment commonly used in small offices and homes.
For network segments requiring higher bandwidth or future-proofing beyond 1 Gb/s, such as 10 Gb/s links, Cat5e will not provide the required performance and a higher category cable (Cat6 or Cat6a) should be considered. Very long backbone runs that exceed 25 metres may require additional cabling, signal repeaters or different infrastructure planning.
Connect one RJ45 end to the network device (switch, router or network card) and the other end to the destination port (patch panel, wall socket or another device). Ensure both ends are securely seated in the RJ45 ports. Route the cable avoiding sharp bends and sources of strong electromagnetic interference; use cable ties or channels to secure runs and maintain bend radius to preserve signal quality.
For best results, use this Cat5e SF/UTP patch cable for horizontal runs up to 25 m in office or home networks where shielding is desirable. Avoid running the cable parallel to high-voltage power lines and maintain gentle bends; for upgrades to 10 Gb/s or longer backbone runs consider Cat6a or fibre alternatives.
