The InLine Patch Cable S/FTP PiMF Cat.6 is a short Cat.6 patch lead designed for connecting network components with RJ45 ports. With a rated bandwidth of 250 MHz and support for 10/100/1000Base-T(X), this 0.25 m PVC CCA cable provides a compact, shielded connection for Gigabit Ethernet installations and temporary or fixed patching in racks, desks, and local network points.
The S/FTP PiMF construction offers improved protection against electromagnetic interference and crosstalk compared with unshielded cables. The cable’s Cat.6 specification and 250 MHz bandwidth support Gigabit (1 Gbps) data rates. RJ45 connectors on both ends allow straight connection between switches, routers, sockets, patch panels and network cards. The compact 0.25 m length reduces cable clutter in patch bays and desktop setups.
Connect one RJ45 plug to the network device (switch, router or network card) and the other RJ45 plug to the destination port (patch panel, wall socket or another device). Ensure connectors are fully inserted until they click to establish a secure link. For rack installations, use the 0.25 m length to minimise slack; for tests or temporary connections, route the cable so it does not obstruct airflow or access to other equipment.
The cable is intended for indoor use in structured cabling and patching scenarios. Avoid bending the cable sharply near the connectors and keep it away from strong electromagnetic sources when possible. For long-term permanent links or where higher fire performance is required, consider using cables with solid copper conductors and specific flame-retardant jackets instead of CCA PVC.
