Fiber optic simplex cable InLine LC/APC to LC/APC OS2 9/125µm 3m
Fiber optic simplex cable InLine LC/APC to LC/APC OS2 9/125µm 3m
Fiber optic simplex cable InLine LC/APC to LC/APC OS2 9/125µm 3m is a single‑fiber patch cable designed for FTTH and singlemode links. The cable uses OS2 singlemode fibre with 9/125 µm core/cladding and LC/APC 8° polished connectors on both ends, offering low insertion loss and high return loss for subscriber terminations, optical patching and backbone connections. The cable comes in a white, jacketed 3 m length with an armoured 3.0 mm outer diameter and a stainless steel spiral tube reinforcement for improved mechanical stability and longevity.
The armored construction with a stainless steel spiral tube and a 3.0 mm halogen‑free outer jacket provides increased tensile strength and protection against mechanical damage compared with thin pre‑installed cables. LC/APC 8° polished connectors deliver low insertion loss (typical <0.20 dB) and high return loss (>60 dB), which supports stable singlemode signal transmission. The neutral white sheath allows discreet installation in living areas and the cable is supplied with a factory test report and conformity to relevant IEC standards.
Route the 3 m cable between the optical outlet or patch panel and the singlemode modem or device, taking care to avoid sharp bends and compressive loads on the cable. Insert the LC/APC connectors into compatible LC/APC ports until they click, ensuring the 8° APC ferrule is correctly aligned. Do not remove the protective dust caps from connectors until immediately before insertion. After installation, verify optical continuity and loss using appropriate test equipment or the supplied test report.
Avoid bending the cable below the manufacturer's minimum bend radius, protect connector endfaces from dust and contamination, and secure the cable to prevent strain on connector interfaces. For FTTH installations, prefer the 3.0 mm armoured version over thin 1.6 mm pre‑installed fibre to reduce the risk of damage during handling and everyday use.
