InLine Fiber Optical Simplex Cable FTTH LC/APC to LC/APC 9/125µm OS2 25m is a single-mode patch cable designed for FTTH installations where low attenuation and high return-loss performance are required. The cable features LC/APC connectors on both ends and OS2 grade 9/125 µm glass optimized for long-distance single-mode transmission. With a 3.0 mm armoured construction and halogen-free outer jacket, this 25 m simplex cable is intended for indoor/outdoor patching and fixed fiber runs connecting a house transfer point to a fiber modem or terminal.
The armoured 3.0 mm construction includes a flexible stainless-steel spiral tube that increases mechanical protection compared with thin provider-supplied leads while keeping the cable pliable for routing in walls or along skirting boards. APC-polished LC connectors provide improved return loss, making the cable suitable for return-loss-sensitive links. Low insertion loss (typical <0.20 dB, max <0.30 dB) and an OS2 single-mode fiber core ensure stable optical performance. The neutral white sheath enables discreet installation in visible living areas.
Route the InLine FTTH cable between the building’s fiber demarcation point and the optical modem or ONT, avoiding sharp bends and excessive pulling forces. Ensure LC/APC connectors align correctly with the device ports and insert until the connector latch clicks. Use cable clips or conduit to secure the cable along walls or skirting boards; maintain the minimum bending radius recommended for 3.0 mm armoured fiber to preserve optical performance. If a test report is required, verify insertion and return loss with appropriate fiber test equipment after installation.
Do not exceed the specified pulling tension or bend radius during installation. Clean LC/APC connector endfaces with suitable fiber cleaning tools before mating to minimize insertion loss and protect equipment. Store unused lengths coiled loosely to avoid kinks and mechanical stress.
