InLine FTTH Fiber Optical Simplex Cable LC/APC to LC/APC 9/125µm OS2 40m
InLine FTTH Fiber Optical Simplex Cable LC/APC to LC/APC 9/125µm OS2 40m is a single‑mode patch cable designed for fiber‑to‑the‑home and indoor backbone connections. The cable uses OS2 9/125 µm single‑mode fiber with angled physical contact (LC/APC 8°) terminations on both ends to provide low insertion loss and high return loss for long‑distance, high‑quality optical transmission. The cable sheath is white and the construction includes reinforcement to ensure improved mechanical stability compared with very thin provider‑supplied leads.
The InLine FTTH cable features a 3.0 mm outer diameter and an armoured stainless steel spiral tube for enhanced durability and protection against breaking during installation or daily use. LC/APC 8° polished connectors ensure typical insertion loss below 0.20 dB and return loss better than 60 dB, supporting low attenuation links. The halogen‑free outer jacket and temperature range from −40 °C to +85 °C make the cable suitable for indoor residential environments while maintaining safety and long‑term performance. A factory test report is provided to verify optical parameters.
Route the InLine FTTH simplex cable between the network termination point and the fiber modem/ONT, avoiding sharp bends and keeping bend radius within manufacturer recommendations for single‑mode fiber. Remove dust caps from LC/APC connectors before insertion and insert connectors into matching APC sockets with a gentle straight motion until they click into place. If reconnecting, always inspect connector endfaces for contamination and clean with an appropriate fiber‑optic cleaning tool to prevent increased loss or damage.
For reliable performance, avoid kinking the cable and maintain a minimum bend radius consistent with single‑mode fiber requirements. Use the supplied test report to verify insertion and return loss after installation. When installing in visible living areas, the white halogen‑free sheath provides a discrete appearance; secure the cable with non‑crushing clips and avoid excessive tensile load during pulling.
