Fiber optical simplex cable InLine LC/APC to LC/APC OS2 9/125µm 0.5 m
Fiber optical simplex cable InLine LC/APC to LC/APC OS2 9/125µm 0.5 m
InLine fiber optical simplex cable LC/APC to LC/APC OS2 9/125µm, length 0.5 m, is designed for reliable single-mode connections in FTTH and professional optical networking applications. The cable features LC/APC 8° connectors on both ends and OS2 9/125 µm fiber for stable low-loss transmission. With a compact 3.0 mm armoured structure and a halogen-free white jacket, this patch cable is suitable for visible home installations and for connecting splice panels, patch panels and active devices where minimal insertion loss and high return loss are required.
The InLine simplex cable offers a robust construction with a stainless steel spiral tube reinforcement and a flexible metal tubing core that increases mechanical strength while maintaining bend resilience for indoor routing. Its halogen-free outer jacket reduces risk in enclosed spaces and the compact LC/APC terminations provide low insertion loss (typical <0.20 dB) and high return loss (>60 dB), supporting stable single-mode OS2 transmission. Supplied with a test report, the cable meets common industry standards for safety and performance.
Route the InLine LC/APC to LC/APC patch cable between the optical network termination or splice panel and the fiber modem or active device, taking care to avoid tight bends and sharp kinks. Remove protective caps from the LC/APC connectors only immediately before connection, and insert the connectors into the matching LC/APC ports ensuring proper alignment of the angled ferrules. For disconnection, pull the connector housing — not the cable jacket — to avoid stressing the fibre. Store unused cable lengths coiled loosely and protected from mechanical damage.
For best performance, maintain a bend radius greater than the manufacturer’s minimum (avoid tight loops), keep connector endfaces clean using appropriate fiber cleaning tools, and verify insertion and return loss with test equipment if used in mission-critical installations. Use the armoured cable option where extra mechanical protection is needed in visible or high-traffic areas.
