Fiber optical simplex cable InLine FTTH SC/APC to SC/APC OS2 9/125µm 3 m
InLine Fiber optical simplex cable FTTH SC/APC to SC/APC OS2 9/125µm, 3 m is a single-mode patch cable designed for indoor fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) connections. The cable uses OS2 single-mode fibre with a 9/125 µm core/cladding and SC/APC 8° polished connectors on both ends to minimise back reflection and ensure stable signal transmission. With a 3.0 mm armoured outer diameter and a white, halogen-free sheath, this cable is intended for reliable short indoor runs between the building transfer point and a fibre modem or other equipment.
The armoured 3.0 mm construction with a stainless steel spiral tube increases mechanical robustness compared with very thin provider-supplied leads, reducing the risk of damage during installation or everyday use. SC/APC 8° polished connectors deliver low insertion loss and high return loss for improved optical link performance. The halogen-free outer jacket and neutral white colour make the cable suitable for visible installations in homes and offices while meeting common safety and compatibility standards.
Connect one SC/APC connector to the fibre outlet or wall plate and the other SC/APC connector to the FTTH modem, router or optical device. Ensure connectors are clean and free of dust before mating to maintain low insertion loss and high return loss. Avoid tight bending and kinking; observe the minimum bend radius recommended for single-mode fibres. If routing the cable through visible areas, use discrete placement along skirting boards or cable channels to keep the installation tidy.
Prior to installation, inspect and, if necessary, clean connectors with proper fibre cleaning tools. Do not pull the cable by the connectors; apply gentle, even force on the cable jacket when routing. For long-term reliability in wall or conduit installations, leave a small service loop to relieve strain and avoid repeated tight bends.
