The InLine Fiber Optical Duplex Cable LC/LC 50/125µm OM5 10m is a multimode duplex fiber patch cable designed for high-speed data transmission in modern network infrastructures. With a 50/125 µm core/cladding diameter and OM5 multimode specification, this 10 metre cable provides duplex connectivity via LC connectors at both ends, enabling simultaneous bidirectional optical links. The compact LC terminations and multimode OM5 fiber make the cable suitable for equipment racks, patch panels and transceivers commonly used in data centres and enterprise network installations.
The cable combines OM5 multimode fiber performance with LC/LC duplex terminations to support high-bandwidth short- to medium-range optical links while maintaining a small connector footprint. Its 50/125 µm core supports improved modal bandwidth compared with legacy multimode types, and the duplex configuration simplifies pairwise connections between switches, servers and storage devices. The 10 m length offers flexibility for rack-to-rack or patch-panel connections without excessive slack.
Route the fiber cable between the required equipment ports, ensuring bend radii are not exceeded and the cable is secured in cable management to prevent strain. Remove protective dust caps from LC connectors before insertion and insert each LC connector into the corresponding LC socket until it clicks. For duplex connections, maintain correct polarity so transmit (TX) and receive (RX) channels align between devices. When disconnecting, press the LC latch and gently withdraw the connector, then replace dust caps to protect endfaces.
Inspect connector endfaces with a fiber inspection scope before connection to avoid performance degradation. Keep bend radius above the minimum specified for multimode OM5 fiber, avoid tight loops and prevent tensile stress. Use appropriate LC adapters and transceivers rated for multimode OM5 to ensure compatibility and expected bandwidth performance.
