Digitus Gigabit Ethernet PoE Injector, 15.4 W, IEEE 802.3af
The Digitus Gigabit Ethernet PoE Injector is a reliable networking solution designed to transmit both power and data over a single Ethernet cable. By utilizing the IEEE 802.3af standard, this device simplifies network infrastructure by eliminating the need for separate power lines for connected hardware. It supports high-speed data transmission up to 1000 Mbps, ensuring that network performance remains consistent while providing up to 15.4 watts of power to compatible devices.
This injector offers a streamlined approach to network management by reducing cable clutter and allowing for flexible device placement in areas without immediate access to electrical outlets. Its full compliance with the IEEE 802.3af standard ensures broad compatibility with a wide range of PoE-enabled equipment. The device is engineered for efficiency, maintaining a low maximum power consumption while delivering stable voltage to your network peripherals, which enhances the overall reliability of your professional or home office setup.
This injector is not suitable for devices that require more than 15.4 watts of power, such as high-performance pan-tilt-zoom cameras or advanced Wi-Fi 6 access points that demand higher PoE standards like 802.3at or 802.3bt. Additionally, it is not intended for use with non-PoE compatible equipment unless a separate PoE splitter is utilized.
To install the injector, connect your network switch or router to the data input port using an Ethernet cable. Connect the device requiring power, such as an IP camera, to the PoE output port using a second Ethernet cable. Finally, connect the injector to a standard wall power outlet. The device will automatically detect the power requirements of the connected equipment and begin supplying power and data immediately.
Ensure that the total length of the Ethernet cable run does not exceed 100 meters to maintain optimal data integrity and power delivery. Always use high-quality Cat5e or Cat6 cabling for best results.
