KVM Switch Inter-Tech AS-9108DU
The Inter-Tech KVM AS-9108DU is a rack-mountable KVM switch designed to centralize control of multiple computers using a single set of keyboard, video and mouse peripherals. It supports both USB and PS/2 keyboard and mouse connections and provides VGA video output with a maximum supported resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels at 75 Hz. The unit accepts AC power across a wide input range (100–240 V) and offers a compact footprint suitable for 19-inch racks.
The AS-9108DU combines multi-protocol peripheral support with VGA video compatibility, enabling integration with legacy and modern systems without additional adapters. Its rack-mount form factor and compact dimensions (432 mm × 156 mm × 43 mm) allow space-efficient installation in server rooms or equipment cabinets. With the ability to control up to 256 computers and an MTBF of 120,000 hours, the switch is built for continuous operation and centralized management in multi-server environments.
Install the AS-9108DU in a standard 19-inch rack using the provided mounting hardware, ensuring adequate ventilation around the unit. Connect a VGA monitor and a keyboard and mouse using either USB or PS/2 ports on the front or rear panel as applicable. Link target computers to the switch using compatible KVM cables for VGA and keyboard/mouse signals. Power the unit from an AC source within the specified 100–240 V range. Switch between connected systems using the device's front-panel controls or the supported switching method described in the user manual.
Place the switch in a clean, dry environment with stable ambient temperature and avoid obstructing ventilation. Use good-quality shielded cables for VGA and peripheral connections to maintain signal integrity, and follow a regular maintenance schedule to verify cable connections and firmware updates as provided by the manufacturer.
