The IOGEAR GUB431 Wired Printer Switch lets up to four computers share a single USB printer, multi-function printer or other USB device without the need to plug and unplug cables. The unit supports USB 2.0 data transfer rates up to 480 Mbps and is backward compatible with USB 1.1. Advantages

How to use

Connect the printer or other USB device to the switch's device port, then connect up to four computers to the switch using the included USB cables. For printers, simply send a print job from one of the connected computers and the switch will automatically assign the printer to that computer. To manually change which computer has access to a USB device, press the front-panel button corresponding to the desired computer. Observe the active-port LED to confirm which computer is connected.

Usage recommendations

Use the switch in a dry, well-ventilated area and avoid placing heavy objects on the device. Enable the switch-lock when you need to prevent other users from changing the active connection. For best performance with high-speed transfers, use USB 2.0-compatible cables and devices.
