Engine-generator Könner & Söhnen KS 8100iEG, 8000 W, 230 V, 20 L LPG/petrol, Aqua/Black
The Könner & Söhnen KS 8100iEG is a hybrid inverter engine-generator delivering rated power of 8000 W at 230 V. Designed for dual-fuel operation with LPG and petrol, it features a 20 L fuel tank, compact dimensions (505 mm width, 765 mm depth) and a portable layout with built-in wheels and a lifting handle. The generator provides pure sine wave output via an electronic control unit with microprocessor regulation, making it suitable for sensitive electronics and variable loads. The unit incorporates a brushless alternator with 100% copper winding and a EURO V–compliant engine with an Economy mode to reduce fuel consumption at light loads.
The KS 8100iEG combines hybrid fuel flexibility and inverter technology to ensure stable voltage and low harmonic distortion for reliable operation of appliances and electronics. Dual-fuel capability (LPG/petrol) and a supplied LPG hose with a pressure reducer enable quick switching between fuels and reduce operating costs when running on gas. Features such as the 3-in-1 start switch (fuel valve, choke, electric start), ergonomic control panel with LED display and safety protections, low-oil sensor, and the option for parallel connection increase user convenience and operational safety. A transport kit with two wheels and a foldable handle simplifies movement on site.
Place the generator on a firm, level surface in a well-ventilated outdoor location away from doors and windows. Choose the fuel source (petrol in the built-in tank or LPG via the supplied 1.5 m hose and reducer) and verify connections before starting. Use the 3-in-1 start switch to open the fuel valve, set the choke as required, and engage the electric start. Monitor the multifunction LED display for voltage, frequency and running hours. When operating at light loads, switch on the Economy mode to reduce engine speed and fuel consumption. Shut down connected loads before stopping the generator and allow the engine to cool before refuelling or performing maintenance.
Use only approved LPG cylinders and ensure that any stationary gas supply is installed and inspected by a certified specialist; the gas supply pressure must not exceed 16 bar. Regularly check oil level and perform scheduled maintenance according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Prefer LPG where possible to reduce fuel costs and extend run time, and avoid overloading the generator beyond its rated output. For sensitive electronics, confirm connection via the inverter's pure sine wave output and use parallel connection capability when synchronized units are needed to increase available power.
