How to use

Select Meter mode for automatic visual pitch detection or choose Sound mode to emit a chromatic reference tone from the speaker for ear-based tuning. Place the tuner near the instrument or attach a contact microphone if using vibration input; play a single sustained note and observe the needle-style meter and note name display to determine pitch deviation. Adjust the instrument’s tuning peg or mechanism until the meter indicates in-tune and the LED shows center (green). Use the calibration control to set the reference A frequency between 410 and 480 Hz when matching a specific concert pitch.

Usage recommendations

For the most accurate results in noisy environments, use a contact microphone to transmit direct instrument vibrations. When tuning in ensemble contexts, consider using the pure major and minor third markings to adjust harmony intonation relative to the chosen reference pitch.
