The KOSPEL WW-140 storage water heater with a double coil heat exchanger is a vertical indirect domestic hot water (DHW) cylinder designed for residential and small commercial installations. The tank stores potable water and provides indirect heating through two separate coil circuits, allowing connection of two heat sources such as a boiler and a solar or waste-heat circuit. The unit is intended to deliver a reliable, stable hot water supply while integrating with existing heating systems.
The double coil heat exchanger enables simultaneous connection of two independent heat sources, improving flexibility in system design. The storage volume provides thermal inertia for stable temperature delivery and reduces short-cycling of heat sources. The thermal insulation around the tank minimizes standby heat loss, while the corrosion-resistant internal surface maintains hygienic potable water conditions. The vertical design reduces footprint and is suited to utility rooms and boiler rooms.
Install the KOSPEL WW-140 in a suitable location with sufficient clearance for service and plumbing connections. Connect the two coil circuits to the designated heat source lines following hydraulic diagrams and local plumbing regulations; one coil can be connected to a primary heating boiler and the other to a solar or secondary heat source. Connect the domestic cold water inlet and hot water outlet to the potable water distribution network. Commission the unit by filling, venting air from the system, and running the heat sources until the required water temperature is reached. Regularly inspect connections and the external insulation for integrity.
For efficient operation, use the double coil arrangement to prioritise renewable or low-cost heat sources when available (for example solar collectors during sunny periods) and a boiler as backup. Perform periodic water quality checks and follow recommended maintenance intervals to preserve internal surfaces and heat exchanger performance.
