Patch panel LANBERG 48-port 1U 19" Cat.5e UTP, gray
LANBERG 48-port 1U 19" Cat.5e UTP, gray is a rack-mountable patch panel designed to terminate and organise up to 48 unshielded twisted-pair network cables in a standard 19" rack. The unit occupies a single rack unit (1U) and provides a central point for connecting horizontal cabling to switches, routers and other network equipment. Constructed for typical Cat.5e UTP installations, the panel helps maintain neat cable runs and simplifies changes to patching and maintenance in wiring closets and data cabinets.
The patch panel delivers consistent termination for Cat.5e UTP cabling, reducing signal interference associated with poor terminations and helping preserve network performance. Its 1U form factor saves rack space while accommodating a large number of ports, which supports efficient rack planning. Front-facing ports provide easy access for patch cords, and the panel's durable metal housing offers stable mechanical support for connectors and cable management.
Install the patch panel in a standard 19" rack using the supplied mounting points and secure it at 1U position. Terminate each horizontal cable to the rear IDC or punch-down block following the correct T568A or T568B wiring scheme. Connect patch cords from the front RJ45 ports to network switches or other active equipment. Label ports as required to match network documentation and simplify future changes. Ensure cable bend radii and strain relief practices are observed during installation.
Use the panel together with Cat.5e-rated patch cords and proper cable management (e.g., horizontal managers, Velcro ties) to maintain signal integrity and tidy rack layout. Test terminated links with a certified cable tester to verify continuity and performance after installation.
