Patch panel LANBERG 24-port 0.5U 19" Cat.5e FTP shielded, black
LANBERG 24-port 0.5U 19" Cat.5e FTP patch panel in black is a compact, rack-mountable module designed to terminate and organize up to 24 FTP (foil-shielded) Cat.5e network cables in a standard 19-inch rack. The panel occupies only half a U (0.5U) of rack height, provides 24 RJ45 ports with shielded metal housing, and is intended for installations where cable shielding and space efficiency are required. The unit supports structured cabling layouts in small offices, server rooms and telecom closets while maintaining the electrical characteristics of Cat.5e systems.
The shielded metal construction of this LANBERG patch panel reduces electromagnetic interference and supports foil-shielded FTP cable terminations to preserve signal integrity. Its 0.5U height saves rack space without sacrificing port density, enabling higher-density deployments in constrained racks. The panel's RJ45 ports are laid out for straightforward labeling and cable management, simplifying installation and later changes. The black finish offers a neutral appearance that integrates with typical rack equipment.
Install the patch panel in a standard 19-inch rack using the appropriate rack screws and mounting positions. Terminate each FTP Cat.5e cable on the rear side of the panel following the color code and termination blocks provided, ensuring the foil drain wire and connector shield are properly connected to the panel's metal chassis to maintain grounding. Route and secure cable runs with appropriate cable management to avoid excessive bend radius and mechanical stress. Label ports clearly on the front to match patching and network documentation.
For optimal performance, use shielded Cat.5e FTP cables and maintain proper grounding of the rack and panel. Keep cable bundles separated from high-voltage power lines and avoid tight bends near terminations. Regularly verify port labeling and documentation after changes to ensure correct patching and minimal downtime.
