LANBERG FO-SUSU-MD41-0020-VT OM4 SC–SC 2 m is a 2 meter duplex fibre optic patch cable with OM4 multimode 50/125 µm cores and SC to SC UPC-terminated connectors. The cable uses LSZH coating and a 3.0 mm duplex construction to provide compact routing in data centers, server rooms and telecommunication racks. It is designed for low insertion loss and high return loss, supporting high-speed data links and InfiniBand environments where stable, connectorized multimode performance is required.
The OM4 multimode fibre offers improved bandwidth and extended reach for short‑range high‑speed links compared with lower grade multimode types. SC UPC terminations provide consistent mating performance and low insertion loss (< 0.20 dB) while return loss (> 50 dB) ensures signal integrity. The LSZH jacket reduces hazardous smoke and corrosive gas in case of fire, and the 3.0 mm duplex construction with a minimum bend radius of 7.5 mm allows compact installation in confined pathways.
Prepare equipment by powering down ports if required and ensure connectors and adapters are clean before mating. Align and insert SC connectors into corresponding SC ports until the latch engages; do not force. Route the duplex cable following recommended bend radius limits and secure with appropriate cable management to avoid strain on connectors. For live systems, follow site procedures for hot‑swap patching and document the link in that rack or patch panel.
Inspect and clean SC UPC endfaces with proper fibre cleaning tools before installation to maintain the specified insertion and return loss. Avoid tight bends and excessive tensile load; maintain the minimum bend radius of 7.5 mm and use cable ties or organizers that do not compress the LSZH jacket. Choose OM4 fibre for short‑reach 10/40/100 Gbit multimode applications to maximize link performance.
