Cable boot LANBERG PLB-1000-W for RJ-45 connectors, white PVC
LANBERG PLB-1000-W is a set of 100 white cable boots made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) for RJ-45 (8P8C) network plugs. The boots cover the connector latch and the cable exit, protecting the clip from accidental damage and helping to reduce strain on the cable where it meets the plug. They are intended for use with Ethernet patch cords and other network cables where a neat finish and connector protection are required.
These white PVC boots provide basic mechanical protection for the RJ-45 latch and cable exit, reduce bending stress at the plug end, and help keep patch panels and cable runs looking organised. Supplied in a 100-piece set, they are suitable for bulk installation and maintenance tasks.
These boots are simple slip-on PVC covers and do not provide waterproofing, shielding, or enhanced strain relief beyond the basic bend protection around the plug. They may not fit non-standard or oversized RJ-45 connectors, angled plugs, or boots designed for specific cable jackets.
Slide a boot over the cable before terminating the RJ-45 plug, then push the boot forward to cover the connector and latch after crimping. For pre-terminated cables, push the boot over the assembled connector until it seats around the plug body and cable exit. Ensure the boot fits snugly without obstructing the clip operation.
For best results, fit the boot before crimping the connector during cable assembly; check that the boot does not impede the connector clip and replace any boots that become cracked or deformed to maintain reliable connector protection.
