The LANCOM SFP-GPON-1 is an SFP transceiver module that enables direct connection of a LANCOM gateway to passive fiber-optic FTTH (fiber-to-the-home) networks using GPON technology. It supports data rates up to 1 Gbit/s and performs the optical–electrical signal conversion inside the gateway, removing the need for a separate provider modem and additional power supply in the building.
