LANCOM SFP-BiDi1310-LC10
The LANCOM SFP-BiDi1310-LC10 is a fiber-optic SFP+ transceiver designed for use in LANCOM switches, routers and firewalls with SFP ports. It supports single-fiber bidirectional transmission to enable high-density fiber connections while saving cabling. The module is silver-coloured, supports up to 10 Gbit/s link speed and is suitable for single-mode 9/125 µm fiber links up to approximately 20 km. Compatibility with LANCOM devices ensures straightforward insertion and hot-pluggable operation for in-service upgrades.
The SFP-BiDi1310-LC10 provides bidirectional transmission on a single fiber using two distinct wavelengths, reducing the need for two separate fibers and simplifying cabling infrastructure. It supports full-duplex 10 Gbit/s operation and includes support for Digital Diagnostic Monitoring (DDM) to monitor signal and module status. The module is hot-pluggable for maintenance without system downtime and is designed to match LANCOM product compatibility expectations.
Insert the SFP-BiDi1310-LC10 module into a compatible SFP+ port on a LANCOM switch, router or firewall while the device is powered on or off as supported; the module is hot-pluggable for in-service insertion. Connect an LC single-mode patch cable to the module and verify that the complementary BiDi module with the matching wavelength is installed at the opposite end of the link. After insertion, check device diagnostics or management interface to confirm link status and DDM readings. Configure the network device as required for 10 Gbit/s operation and any required VLAN or interface settings.
For reliable operation, use single-mode 9/125 µm fiber patch cords and ensure the remote transceiver supports the complementary BiDi wavelength pair. Avoid bending the fiber beyond manufacturer bend-radius recommendations and verify DDM parameters via the LANCOM management interface to monitor optical power and module temperature.
