Managed Switch Lancom Systems GS-3152X
The Managed Switch Lancom Systems GS-3152X is a 1U rack-mounted, Layer 3 lite Gigabit Ethernet switch designed for environments requiring high port density and advanced management. It offers 48 Gigabit RJ-45 ports plus 4 SFP+ uplink ports with 10 Gbps support, a switching capacity of 176 Gbit/s and a MAC address table sized for 32,000 entries. The switch supports both IPv4 and IPv6 dual-stack operation and complies with a broad set of IEEE networking standards, making it suitable as an access switch in modern, cloud-orchestrated networks.
The GS-3152X combines high port density and uplink bandwidth with basic Layer 3 features such as static routing and integrated DHCP server, enabling offload of routing tasks and centralized IP management. Managed operation and comprehensive security capabilities—including IEEE 802.1X port-based access control, SSH/SSL, SNMPv3 and TACACS+—support secure remote administration. Integration with LANCOM Management Cloud and SD‑LAN enables automated configuration and coordinated multi-site rollouts, reducing manual setup time.
Install the GS-3152X in a standard 19-inch rack and connect power and network cabling according to rack layout and airflow recommendations. Use the SFP+ ports for aggregation links or high-speed uplinks and the 48 RJ-45 ports to connect endpoints, access points and edge devices. Configure basic networking parameters either via the local management interface or remotely using secure protocols (SSH, SSL, SNMPv3). For cloud orchestration, register and onboard the device in the LANCOM Management Cloud to enable SD‑LAN automated configuration and centralized management.
Place the switch in a temperature-controlled rack environment with proper ventilation and redundant power where available. When deploying in multi-site or large-scale environments, use the LANCOM Management Cloud to provision VLANs, access control (IEEE 802.1X) and static routes centrally, and reserve the SFP+ ports for uplinks to aggregation or core switches to maintain optimal throughput.
