SD-WAN gateway with VDSL and 4G: the LANCOM 1800VA-4G is a branch router designed for small and medium-sized businesses and branch offices that require a secure, highly available network for business‑critical applications. It combines SD‑WAN connectivity, security engineered in Germany, and a diverse set of interfaces. A 4G mobile backup provides continuity in case of VDSL or fiber outages, while LANCOM IPSec VPN ensures secure site-to-site and remote worker connections. Integration with the LANCOM Management Cloud (LMC) enables centralized and automated network management to reduce operational effort.

Advantages

The LANCOM 1800VA-4G supports SD‑WAN features such as Auto‑VPN, High Scalability VPN (HSVPN) and Advanced Mesh VPN to simplify secure VPN setup and scale across many branches. Multiple WAN connections can operate in active/active mode for load balancing, and Dynamic Path Selection with Dynamic Traffic Steering routes applications over the best available link. The built‑in LTE Advanced (Cat. 6) modem provides mobile backup up to 300 Mbps downstream and 50 Mbps upstream. VDSL Supervectoring support enables up to 300 Mbps on existing copper lines. The device housing allows table, rack, or wall mounting and is produced locally to reduce CO2 footprint. Security functions include a stateful inspection firewall, intrusion prevention, DoS protection, ARF and VLAN segmentation, and five integrated IPSec VPN channels with an option to upgrade to 25 channels.
