The LANCOM SFP-GPON-1 is an SFP fiber-optic transceiver designed for direct connection to passive FTTH (fiber-to-the-home) GPON networks. It enables integration of a GPON network interface into compatible LANCOM gateways and routers, providing up to 1 Gbit/s data throughput without requiring a separate provider modem or additional power supply in the installation.

Advantages

The module supports GPON G.984.2 ONT standard and provides a compact, hot-swappable SFP form factor for easy installation. It reduces cabling and eliminates the need for a standalone fiber modem by converting incoming GPON signals directly in the gateway.
