SFP transceiver LANCOM SFP-SX-LC1, fiber optic, SFP, 1 Gbit/s, stainless steel
LANCOM SFP-SX-LC1 is a compact SFP fiber optic transceiver module designed for short-range multimode fiber connections. Supporting a maximum data rate of 1 Gbit/s and featuring an LC connector, the stainless-steel housing provides a hot-pluggable solution for Gigabit Ethernet links in switches, routers and other network equipment with SFP ports. The module is intended for use where reliable, low-latency optical connections are required over short distances.
The transceiver supports 1 Gbit/s data throughput and fits standard SFP slots, enabling straightforward installation and replacement without powering down the host device. The LC multimode interface is optimized for short-range fiber runs and the stainless-steel casing ensures mechanical stability and electromagnetic shielding. Compatibility with LANCOM devices reduces integration effort and helps maintain predictable network behavior.
Insert the LANCOM SFP-SX-LC1 module into an available SFP slot on a compatible switch, router or firewall while the equipment is powered on, observing standard ESD precautions. Connect the multimode LC fiber patch cable to the module and the corresponding port on the remote device. Verify link negotiation and speed in the host device management interface; the transceiver negotiates at Gigabit Ethernet speeds when both ends support 1 Gbit/s.
Use multimode fiber patch cables and connectors that match the LC interface and short-range specifications. Avoid sharp bends and excessive tension on the fiber cable, and follow ESD-safe handling procedures when installing or removing the transceiver to prevent damage. Confirm firmware and compatibility notes for the host device if operating in environments requiring vendor-verified optics.
