SFP+ LR Optical Transceiver Lanview Fortinet FG-TRAN-SFP+LR
The SFP+ LR Optical Transceiver Lanview Fortinet FG-TRAN-SFP+LR is a hot-pluggable SFP+ module designed for 10 Gigabit Ethernet links over single-mode fiber with long-reach capability. It is intended for use in switches, routers and transceiver ports compatible with Fortinet equipment and other devices that accept standard SFP+ optical modules. The module provides a compact aluminium-colour housing and supports high-speed connectivity between data centers, server racks and telecom equipment.
This Lanview SFP+ LR transceiver supports a 10,000 Mbit/s data rate in a small form-factor pluggable package, enabling long-distance single-mode fiber connections without occupying larger optical bays. Its hot-pluggable design allows replacement or installation without powering down compatible network equipment. The aluminium-colour housing offers a durable and lightweight option at approximately 0.03 kg, suitable for dense networking environments.
Insert the SFP+ LR transceiver into an available SFP+ port on a compatible switch, router or transceiver slot until it latches. Connect a single-mode fiber cable with the appropriate LC connectors to the optical interface. Ensure both ends of the fiber link use matching LR-grade transceivers and that link settings on the network devices (speed, duplex, interface state) are configured as required. The module is hot-pluggable, but follow your equipment manufacturer's guidance when inserting or removing modules to avoid physical damage or link disruption.
Use single-mode fiber (LC connectors) and ensure transceivers at both ends match in type (LR) and supported data rate. Observe electrostatic discharge (ESD) precautions when handling the module, keep dust caps on unused ports, and verify compatibility with your Fortinet or other networking equipment before deployment.
