The LevelOne GVT-2002 is a Gigabit media converter that converts 10/100/1000Base-T copper Ethernet (RJ45) to single‑mode SC fiber, enabling network extension up to 20 km. It supports auto‑sensing for 10/100/1000Base‑T, full and half duplex operation, and can be used as a standalone unit or mounted as a slide‑in module in the CHV‑2000 19” converter rack.

Advantages

The converter supports 9K jumbo frames and extra‑long packets up to 1.6 KB to improve throughput for large frames. Built‑in LFP (Link Fault Pass‑through) with Smart LFP modes allows monitoring and coordinated fault handling between the fiber and copper ports. IEEE 802.3x flow control reduces packet loss for reliable transmission. Dip switches provide simple local configuration, and the unit operates across a wide temperature range from -10 °C to 55 °C.
