The LevelOne POI-2012 is a Power over Ethernet injector designed to supply DC power up to 15.4W while carrying network data over existing Ethernet cabling. It combines power from a local supply with data from a non-PoE switch and delivers both to 802.3af-compliant devices such as PoE dome cameras, allowing use of current LAN infrastructure without replacing switches.

Advantages

The POI-2012 provides a cost-effective way to add PoE capability to an existing network, enabling remote powering of compatible devices without installing new PoE switches. It supports powering cameras and, with additional PoE splitters, can also supply non-PoE devices like wireless access points placed in locations without nearby electrical outlets. How to use
