Description

The POR-0102 PoE Repeater extends the reach of Power over Ethernet devices by adding two additional ports to a PoE link. It receives power from an upstream PoE switch or other Power Sourcing Equipment (PSE) and forwards both data and PoE to downstream devices, enabling deployment of cameras, access points or other PoE devices beyond standard cable length limits. The unit features a compact metal housing suitable for installation in constrained spaces and requires no external power supply.

How to use

Connect an upstream PoE port from a PoE switch or other PSE to one input port of the POR-0102. Connect your downstream PoE device(s) such as IP cameras or wireless access points to the repeater's output ports using standard Cat.5/Cat5e cable. The device will draw power through the PSE and forward data and PoE to the attached devices immediately; no configuration or external power supply is necessary.

Recommendations

Place the POR-0102 near the midpoint between the PSE and remote PoE devices to maximize extended cable distance. Verify PSE power budget to ensure sufficient wattage for all connected devices after extension.
