PoE Splitter LevelOne POS-1002
The LevelOne PoE Splitter POS-1002 separates Power over Ethernet into distinct power and Fast Ethernet data outputs to power non-PoE equipment from a single PoE cable. Compliant with IEEE 802.3af, this compact splitter supports selectable DC outputs of 5V, 9V or 12V and provides power and data delivery over one Ethernet cable. Designed for installations where a local power outlet is not available, the device includes LED indicators for power status, built-in short-circuit protection and a DIP switch for selecting the required output voltage.
The POS-1002 reduces installation complexity by removing the need for nearby power outlets or bulky external adapters. Its selectable 5V/9V/12V outputs and interchangeable tips increase compatibility with a variety of devices. The device’s small footprint (55mm x 80mm x 31mm) and lightweight construction (0.076 kg) make it suitable for constrained spaces. Compliance with IEEE 802.3af and integrated protection features provide predictable power delivery and safeguard connected equipment.
Connect an IEEE 802.3af PoE-enabled switch or injector to the splitter’s input Ethernet port using a standard Ethernet cable. Use the DIP switch to select the required DC output voltage (5V, 9V or 12V) and attach the appropriate interchangeable tip to match the target device’s power jack. Plug the device’s data cable into the splitter’s Fast Ethernet output port and connect the DC power lead to the target device. Observe the LED indicators to confirm power status and data link presence.
Use the POS-1002 within the rated output current for each voltage to avoid overloading the splitter; for devices requiring higher current, choose the appropriate voltage/current combination or a different power solution. Install the splitter in a dry, ventilated location and avoid exposure to extreme temperatures. Verify device compatibility before deployment by checking voltage and connector tip polarity and dimensions.
