LevelOne SFP-4200 is a 1.25 Gbps small form-factor pluggable (SFP) transceiver for multimode fiber links. Operating at 850 nm and supporting up to 550 m, this module complies with IEEE 802.3z Gigabit Ethernet and the SFP MSA standard. The transceiver uses a duplex LC connector, requires a 3.3 V single power supply, and is hot-swappable. Its metal housing reduces EMI and the device meets RoHS and lead-free requirements. The industrial operating temperature range from -20 °C to 85 °C makes it suitable for installations requiring extended temperature tolerance.
The SFP-4200 delivers standard-compliant Gigabit Ethernet performance in a compact, hot-swappable SFP form factor. Its metal enclosure minimizes electromagnetic interference while maintaining RoHS and lead-free compliance. With a 3.3 V single power rail and duplex LC connector, it is compatible with a wide range of networking equipment and supports stable optical links over multimode fiber up to 550 m. The extended operating temperature range supports deployment in industrial environments.
Insert the SFP-4200 module into a compatible SFP port on a switch, router or media converter while the host device is powered on or off (hot-swappable). Connect the multimode LC patch cable to the duplex LC connectors, observing correct transmit/receive orientation. Ensure the host device supports 1.25 Gbps SFP modules and configure link settings on the network equipment if required. Follow standard ESD precautions when handling the transceiver and keep dust caps on unused ports to protect the optical interface.
Use multimode OM1/OM2/OM3 fiber appropriate for 850 nm operation and verify link budget for distances up to 550 m. For deployments in harsh environments, confirm system compatibility with extended temperature ranges and perform link testing after installation to verify optical power and BER.
