Lightwin 10Gbit SFP+ to SFP+ DAC Direct Attach Cable LWO-DAC-SFPP-3M, 10Gbps, 3m
Lightwin 10Gbit SFP+ to SFP+ DAC Direct Attach Cable LWO-DAC-SFPP-3M is a 3‑metre direct attach copper cable with SFP+ connectors designed to provide a 10Gbps electrical link between compatible SFP+ ports. It is intended for short‑reach interconnects in racks, between switches, servers and storage devices where a low-latency, cost-effective point-to-point copper connection is required. The cable is black, terminated with SFP+ male connectors on both ends and supports standard 10 Gigabit Ethernet links over a fixed length.
The direct attach copper construction delivers low latency and low power consumption compared with optical transceivers and separate fiber patch cords. As a fixed-length, integrated solution it simplifies rack wiring and reduces component count while offering predictable performance for short-distance links. The SFP+ form-factor ensures compatibility with a wide range of network equipment that supports SFP+ electrical interfaces.
This DAC cable is intended for short distances; it is not suitable for long-distance links or for environments that require optical isolation or very long runs beyond the physical cable length. It will not replace fibre-optic transceivers where distance, EMI immunity, or optical reach are required. Compatibility depends on the host equipment supporting standard SFP+ electrical DAC modules; some vendors enforce firmware checks.
Insert each SFP+ connector firmly into the corresponding SFP+ port on your switches, servers or storage devices until the latch engages. Ensure both devices are powered and configured for 10GbE operation. No separate power or transceiver modules are required for the cable itself. Verify link status through device LEDs or management interfaces and confirm negotiated speed and duplex. To remove, depress the latch and pull the connector straight out to avoid damaging the port.
Use the cable for short, permanent point-to-point connections inside racks or between adjacent racks. Avoid tight bends near the connector and maintain the minimum bend radius recommended by the equipment vendor. When mixing vendor equipment, test one link before wide deployment to confirm compatibility.
