SFP+ Transceiver Lightwin LWO-SFPP-LR 10 Gbit, 1310 nm, 10 km, DDM, LC-Duplex, Singlemode
Lightwin LWO-SFPP-LR is a singlemode SFP+ transceiver module that provides 10 Gbit/s-class data transmission over singlemode fiber at a 1310 nm wavelength with a maximum reach of up to 10 km. The module uses an LC-duplex interface and supports Digital Diagnostic Monitoring (DDM), enabling real-time monitoring of optical and electrical parameters. Its hot-pluggable SFP+ form factor and metal enclosure are designed for integration into industrial switches, media converters and data center uplinks where reliable 10 Gb connectivity and electromagnetic shielding are required.
The transceiver supports high-speed links with a maximum data transfer rate near 11.1 Gbit/s while remaining within the power and physical constraints of SFP+ ports. Integrated DDM provides monitored parameters such as optical power and temperature for easier maintenance and fault detection. The LC-duplex connector and singlemode operation at 1310 nm make it suitable for longer fiber spans up to 10 km. The metal housing helps reduce EMI and improves mechanical robustness for rack or industrial installations.
This module is designed specifically for singlemode fiber and a 1310 nm wavelength; it is not suitable for multimode fiber applications or links that require different wavelengths such as 850 nm or 1550 nm. It is intended for devices with SFP+ slots and will not work in ports that accept other form factors (for example, XFP) unless the host explicitly supports SFP+ modules.
Install the transceiver into an available SFP+ slot on a compatible switch, router or media converter while the host device is powered according to the vendor's hot-swap guidance. Connect LC-duplex singlemode fiber patch cords, observing correct transmit/receive orientation. Verify link status and, if supported, read DDM parameters through the host management interface to confirm optical power, temperature and other diagnostics. Remove the module by unlocking the SFP+ tray or latch following the equipment manufacturer's procedure.
Use factory-terminated singlemode LC patch cords and follow bend-radius and connector cleanliness best practices. Monitor DDM readings after installation to confirm expected optical power and temperature levels; keep spare modules on hand for quick replacement in critical links.
