Description

The Lindy 25119 Network Media Converter extends a wired Ethernet connection between two network devices over multimode fibre optic cable up to 550 m. It supports IEEE 802.3 standards and operates at 10/100/1000 Mbit/s with an SC multimode fibre connector (50/125 or 62.5/125). The device is plug-and-play: connect a Cat.5e or higher Ethernet cable to the RJ45 port and an SC duplex multimode fibre cable to the fibre port. No configuration is required. The converter is powered by 5 V/1 A and is certified to CE, UKCA, FCC, RoHS, REACH and California Proposition 65.

How to use

Power the unit with a compatible 5 V/1 A adapter. Connect a Cat.5e or higher Ethernet cable from the RJ45 port to your switch, router or device. Attach an SC multimode duplex fibre cable (50/125 or 62.5/125) to the fibre port and to the corresponding fibre device at the other end. The converter will auto-negotiate speed and duplex; verify link and activity using the front-panel LEDs. No additional configuration is required for standard Ethernet links.
