The Lindy Cat.6 DisplayPort 1.2 and USB HDBaseT KVM Extender is a transmitter-and-receiver system designed to extend DisplayPort 1.2 video, USB keyboard/mouse control and control signals over standard Cat.6 cable. It supports long-distance point-to-point links up to 150 m using high-quality solid core Cat.6 cable and is intended for installations where the source (PC) is located remotely from the display or control surface.

Advantages

How to use

Install the transmitter at the DisplayPort source (PC) and the receiver at the remote display. Connect both units with high-quality solid core Cat.6 U/UTP or F/UTP cable, observing the maximum recommended distance per resolution. Connect local DisplayPort cables to the transmitter and receiver as required. Plug a USB keyboard and mouse into the receiver USB HID ports to control the remote PC. If required, connect IR or RS-232 control lines for device control integration. To simplify power, connect a single power supply to either the transmitter or receiver when using PoC. Ensure both units are placed in a well-ventilated, cool and dry location within the operating temperature range.

Usage recommendations

Use high-quality solid core Cat.6 U/UTP or F/UTP cable to achieve the stated distances and video quality. For 4K@60Hz 4:4:4 operation keep link lengths nearer to 100 m for optimal performance; for Full HD (1920x1080@60Hz) the extender supports up to 150 m.
