Dockingstation 1-port USB 3.2 with M.2 NVMe slot, LOGILINK
The LOGILINK Dockingstation 1-port USB 3.2 with M.2 NVMe slot is an external enclosure that allows connection of a single M.2 NVMe SSD to a host system via a USB 3.2 interface. Designed for direct access to NVMe storage, the docking station provides high-speed data transfer over USB, enabling tasks such as backups, file transfers, cloning and portable storage expansion. The compact housing is intended for use with computers, laptops and workstations that recognise USB mass storage devices.
This docking station supports USB 3.2 transfer rates to make NVMe SSD performance available through a standard USB connection. Its integrated M.2 NVMe slot accepts single-sided and double-sided NVMe modules (sizes depend on the drive), simplifying installation and reducing the need for internal mounting. The external form factor provides immediate plug-and-play access, allowing fast data migration, system imaging or temporary expansion without opening the host system. The unit is compatible with typical operating systems that support USB storage devices.
Insert a compatible M.2 NVMe SSD into the M.2 slot according to the device orientation marked on the enclosure, secure the drive as required by the unit design, and connect the docking station to the host computer using the supplied USB cable. The host should recognise the NVMe SSD as an external USB storage device; initialize, format or access the drive using the operating system's disk management tools if needed. For cloning or imaging operations, run your chosen cloning software after the drive appears in the system.
Ensure the host system's USB port supports USB 3.2 speeds to achieve optimal throughput and verify that the connected NVMe SSD receives adequate power from the USB port. For sustained high-performance tasks consider using a powered USB hub or direct connection to the computer's USB controller. Handle the M.2 SSD and enclosure with care to avoid electrostatic discharge and follow your operating system's safe removal procedure before disconnecting the docking station.
