Telephone/Alarm Cable LP YTDY 6 x 0.5 mm² — 100 m reel

LP YTDY telephone/alarm cable, 6 x 0.5 mm² on a 100 m reel, is designed for low-voltage voice, signalling and alarm system wiring. The cable contains six individually insulated conductors that allow multipair connections and straightforward termination in junction boxes and alarm panels. Its compact construction makes it suitable for indoor installation where a multi-conductor cable with modest cross-section is required.

Advantages

The cable offers six separate insulated cores that simplify wiring of telephone lines, intercoms and alarm circuits while keeping conductors organized and easy to identify. The 0.5 mm² conductor cross-section provides a balance between flexibility and electrical capacity for typical low-voltage communication and signalling tasks. Supplied on a 100 m reel, the product is convenient for medium-length runs and reduces the need for frequent joins.

Suitable for

• Telephone and intercom system wiring
• Intruder alarm and security system connections
• Signal circuits and low-voltage control wiring
• Wiring inside junction boxes and distribution enclosures

Key specifications

• Number of conductors: 6
• Conductor cross-section: 0.5 mm²
• Conductor insulation: individual insulated cores (polymer insulation)
• Application: low-voltage voice, signalling and alarm systems
• Installation environment: indoor use, suitable for junction boxes and alarm panels
• Packaging: 100 m reel for continuous runs

How to use

Strip outer sheath and individual conductor insulation carefully to expose cores without nicking conductors. Route the cable through conduits or cable trays to the required locations and secure with appropriate fasteners. Terminate each insulated core to the corresponding terminal in the telephone block, alarm panel or junction connector according to the system wiring diagram. Observe polarity and pair identification where required, and avoid tight bending radii to maintain conductor integrity.

Usage recommendations

For reliable performance, use this cable only for low-voltage signalling and communication circuits and install it indoors away from high-voltage power lines. Keep cable runs as short as practical and avoid exposure to mechanical damage, moisture and direct sunlight. When connecting to alarm panels or telephone equipment, follow manufacturer wiring diagrams and apply proper strain relief at entry points.
