Twisted pair cable Cat 5e CCA 100m MACLEAN MCTV-579
Twisted pair cable Cat 5e CCA 100m MACLEAN MCTV-579 is a Category 5e network cable intended for Ethernet and general data transmission applications. The cable is provided on a 100-meter spool and uses copper-clad aluminum (CCA) conductors to deliver Cat5e-level performance for horizontal and patch cabling. It is designed for use in LAN installations, CCTV network links and other data wiring where Cat5e specification is required.
The cable combines the electrical characteristics of Cat5e twisted pair construction with cost-effective copper-clad aluminum conductors, offering a balance between signal transmission and material cost. Supplied on a 100 m spool, the product supports straightforward installation and measured runs for residential or commercial wiring projects. The cable’s Cat5e specification ensures compatibility with Ethernet networks up to 100 Mbps (Fast Ethernet) and typical Cat5e applications when properly installed.
Measure and cut the required length from the 100 m spool, allowing additional slack for termination and routing. Strip the outer jacket and separate the four twisted pairs, keeping twists as intact as possible to maintain performance. Terminate the conductors to RJ45 connectors or keystone jacks following the T568A or T568B wiring standard; ensure correct pair alignment and secure crimping. Test each run with an appropriate network tester to verify continuity, pair order, and absence of shorts before placing the cable into service.
For reliable network performance, avoid running the cable alongside high-voltage power lines or in environments with strong electromagnetic interference. Maintain bend radius recommendations during installation, use proper cable management and strain relief at terminations, and verify that the use of CCA conductors meets local code and the specific equipment ground/return requirements.
