RF coaxial pigtail cable MaxLink SMA male–SMA male, 5 m length
RF coaxial pigtail cable MaxLink SMA male–SMA male, 5 m length
The MaxLink RF240 pigtail cable SMA male–SMA male, 5 m length is a flexible coaxial lead designed for RF signal connections between devices with SMA interfaces. It offers a 5-metre reach for convenient routing in installations and repairs, and is intended for use with antennas, routers, modems and test equipment that accept SMA male connectors. The cable construction balances flexibility and shielding to maintain stable signal transmission across the run.
The cable provides a consistent impedance path suitable for RF applications, with SMA male connectors at both ends for direct connection to SMA female ports. Its 5 m length enables placement flexibility without the need for additional adapters, while the flexible jacket simplifies routing in confined or complex setups. The construction aims to preserve signal integrity and reduce loss over the specified length under normal operating conditions.
Align the SMA male connector threads with the SMA female jack on each device and hand-tighten clockwise until snug; avoid overtightening to prevent damage to connector threads. Route the cable to minimise sharp bends and kinks, maintaining gentle curves to preserve the coaxial geometry. For test setups, connect one end to the measurement instrument and the other to the device under test. When installing with antennas or outdoor equipment, ensure the connectors and cable entry points are protected from moisture and mechanical strain.
Use the cable within its intended 50 ohm RF environment and avoid exposing it to prolonged moisture, extreme temperatures, or continuous mechanical stress. Inspect connectors for debris before mating and replace the cable if the outer jacket or connector integrity is compromised.
