Network Cable MaxLink ML-DACS+1 SFP+ DAC Passive DDM Cisco Comp 1m Black
The MaxLink 10G SFP+ DAC cable (ML-DACS+1) is a 1 m passive direct attach copper interconnect designed for connecting network devices such as switches, routers and servers at 1 Gbps or 10 Gbps without the need for separate SFP/SFP+ transceiver modules. The cable offers Cisco-compatible signalling and supports DDM (Digital Diagnostics Monitoring) for basic monitoring of link status and device diagnostics.
This passive SFP+ DAC cable provides a cost-effective and low-latency connection between two SFP/SFP+ ports. With a built-in Cisco compatibility profile and DDM support, it plugs directly into SFP/SFP+ slots and behaves like conventional SFP/SFP+ modules while avoiding the need for additional transceivers or fiber patch cords. The 1 m length suits short intra-rack or adjacent-rack links.
Insert each connector of the DAC cable into the SFP/SFP+ ports of the two devices to be linked. Ensure both ports are compatible with SFP/SFP+ direct attach copper modules and that device firmware allows third-party Cisco-compatible transceivers. After insertion, the devices should recognise the link and negotiate the supported speed (1 Gbps or 10 Gbps) automatically.
Use this 1 m passive DAC cable for short, direct connections inside racks or between adjacent racks. Avoid bending the cable sharply and keep it within the specified operating temperature range to ensure reliable performance. Verify device compatibility and, if necessary, enable third-party transceiver support in switch/router settings.
