Optical SFP+ Module MaxLink ML-S+2733-20 WDM Tx1270/Rx1330nm 10G 20km
The MaxLink ML-S+2733-20 is a high-performance 10G SFP+ optical transceiver module engineered for reliable data transmission over single-mode fiber optic cables. Utilizing WDM (BiDi) technology, this module operates with a transmit wavelength of 1270 nm and a receive wavelength of 1330 nm, allowing for bidirectional communication over a single strand of fiber. It is designed to support high-speed network infrastructures, providing stable connectivity for distances up to 20 kilometers.
This optical module offers significant efficiency by utilizing WDM technology, which effectively doubles the capacity of existing fiber infrastructure by enabling bidirectional data flow on a single fiber strand. Its hot-pluggable design ensures that network administrators can install or replace the module without powering down the host equipment, minimizing downtime. Furthermore, the inclusion of Digital Diagnostics Monitoring (DDM) allows for real-time tracking of critical parameters such as optical power and temperature, facilitating proactive network maintenance and troubleshooting.
This module is not compatible with multi-mode fiber optic cabling and will not function if used in such environments. Additionally, it is specifically designed for 10G speeds and may not be suitable for legacy network equipment that only supports lower data rates like 1G or 100M.
To install the module, ensure that the host device, such as a switch or router, is powered on or supports hot-swapping. Carefully insert the SFP+ module into the designated SFP+ port until it clicks into place. Connect the single-mode fiber optic cable with an LC connector to the module. Once connected, the device should automatically detect the module, and the link status indicator on your networking hardware should illuminate, confirming a successful connection.
Always clean the fiber optic connector end-faces before insertion to prevent signal degradation caused by dust or debris. Ensure the module is kept within the recommended operating temperature range to maintain optimal performance and longevity.
