McAlpine flexible accordion waste connector FLX-HC27-600 6/4" x 50×40 mm, length 600 mm
McAlpine flexible accordion waste connector FLX-HC27-600 6/4" x 50×40 mm is a corrugated, adjustable-length connector designed to link a 6/4" sanitary appliance outlet to 50×40 mm rectangular or flat waste channels. The product features a 600 mm maximum length of flexible tube that can be compressed or extended to suit installation requirements, allowing for offset alignment between fittings and existing drain runs. Its corrugated construction provides vibration absorption and facilitates routing in confined spaces beneath sinks and bathroom fixtures without the need to alter fixed pipework.
The flexible accordion design enables simple alignment between mismatched outlets and flat or rectangular channels while maintaining a secure seal. Its adjustable 600 mm corrugated tube provides reach and bend tolerance useful in tight installations. The construction reduces vibration transfer from appliances to the drainage network and simplifies retrofits or repairs by avoiding cutting or remodelling existing waste pipes. Compatible connection ends allow direct attachment to 6/4" outlets and 50×40 mm channels for a reliable joint.
Measure the distance between the appliance outlet and the rectangular or flat channel before fitting. Compress or extend the corrugated tube to the required length, taking care not to over-stretch beyond the product's intended extension. Push the 6/4" end onto the appliance spigot and seat the 50×40 mm end into the receiving channel, ensuring both connections are fully engaged for a leak-free joint. Check alignment and, if applicable, secure with the appropriate clamps or collar fittings recommended for the installation to prevent axial movement. After installation, run water to test for leaks and adjust seating if necessary.
Use the connector within its intended length range and avoid sharp kinks; maintain gentle curves to preserve flow. For permanent installations, inspect seals and any securing clamps after initial use and periodically during routine maintenance. If the installation requires permanent structural support or the length is regularly at maximum extension, consider adding a support or choosing a fixed-profile solution for long-term stability.
