Power adapter/inverter MEAN WELL MDD01M-15, input 10.8–13.2 V, output 15 V, output power 1 W
The MEAN WELL MDD01M-15 is a compact PCB-mount DC-DC converter designed to provide a regulated 15 V output from a nominal automotive or battery input range of 10.8–13.2 V. Housed in a SIP through-hole package, the module delivers low-power isolated conversion suitable for signal-level electronics and medical applications requiring reinforced isolation. The converter offers dual polarity outputs of ±15 V at low current draw, in a form factor intended for OEM and production use and supplied in bulk quantities.
The module provides a stable regulated 15 V output with low output power consumption (1 W) and dual ±15 V rails for circuits that need both polarities. Its SIP through-hole package facilitates PCB mounting and mechanical retention during wave soldering. The design includes reinforced isolation (2xMOPP) and RoHS compliance, making it suitable where medical isolation standards and lead-free manufacturing are required. Bulk supply format supports volume production and assembly workflows.
This converter is rated for 1 W output power and low output currents; it is not appropriate for powering medium- or high-power loads or systems that require significant continuous current. The SIP through-hole form factor is intended for PCB installation and is not a drop-in solution for applications requiring a standalone enclosed power adapter or connectors for field wiring.
Mount the converter on the target PCB using recommended footprint and solder it in place following standard through-hole soldering practices. Observe input polarity and ensure the supply provides a steady 10.8–13.2 V DC source. Provide adequate creepage and clearance on the PCB according to the reinforced isolation specification and position sensitive analog circuitry to minimize noise coupling. Verify output voltages under expected load conditions and include appropriate input filtering and fusing as required by the end system.
Use the module for low-power, isolated signal and medical electronics where dual ±15 V rails are needed. Include input protection (fuse or transient suppression) and place decoupling components close to sensitive circuits. For production, follow manufacturer PCB footprint and soldering guidelines to ensure reliable mechanical and electrical performance.
