Network transceiver module MELLANOX MMA1B00-C100D QSFP 100000 Mbit/s 850 nm fiber optic, 3.6 V, 1.8 W, silver
Mellanox MMA1B00-C100D is a pluggable QSFP28 optical transceiver module for 100Gb/s Ethernet over parallel multimode fiber. The module uses a nominal wavelength of 850 nm, supports four optical channels per direction through an MPO connector and complies with SFF-8665. It provides a QSFP28 electrical interface supporting CAUI-4 and is designed for low power consumption and high performance in data center and high‑performance networking equipment.
The transceiver delivers 100Gb/s connectivity in a compact QSFP28 form factor with Mellanox integrated circuit technology for reliable performance and low power (typical 1.8 W). It supports parallel MMF ribbon fiber via MPO, operation up to 100 m on multimode fiber, per‑channel signaling rates to 25.78125 GBd, and includes DDMI support for diagnostic monitoring. Compliance with SFF-8665 and rigorous production testing ensures interoperability and out-of-the-box reliability.
Insert the QSFP28 transceiver into a compatible QSFP28 port on the host switch or network device. Connect a parallel multimode MPO ribbon cable (with matching MPO connector and appropriate OM3/OM4 fiber) to the transceiver. Ensure the host device is configured for CAUI-4 100GbE operation and confirm link status through the device management interface. Monitor module diagnostics using DDMI where supported to verify optical power, temperature and other operating parameters.
Install and remove the module following the host equipment instructions to avoid damage. Use clean MPO connectors and appropriate MTP/MPO cleaning tools to maintain low insertion loss. Choose OM3 or OM4 multimode fiber for reliable reach up to 100 m and verify compatibility with your switch vendor when necessary.
